Art as protocol,
protocol as art.
The Distributed Gallery is a collective of artists, craftspeople and engineers established in the contemporary art world since 2017. They are mainly known for the creation of artworks based on distributed technologies such as blockchains.
Recent projects extend this practice into artificial intelligence, experimental software and digital forms of intervention, using technology as a space for artistic experimentation, critical inquiry and political imagination.
